Pick the disk by tank size and oil load: 12 in for an ordinary sump, 18 in when the sump is large or the oil comes in fast, 24 in for the biggest tanks. The Original Disk Skimmer, designed to tackle heavy loads of tramp oil floating on the coolant, is your efficient partner in enhancing your coolant management system. Equipped with a 12 in, 18 in or 24 in disk and a 7rpm motor. Need to manage larger volumes or slower extraction rates consider a unit with a 2 rpm motor. About 2RPM Motor
Why put a 2 RPM motor into a disk skimmer? By rotating the disk at a lower speed in it creates better adhesion of oil to the surface of the disk resulting in no turbulence or agitation of the liquid. Back by popular demand we are offering our Smart Disk Skimmer and the Original Disk Skimmer in 2 RPM versions.

Standard or slow motor?
Standard 7 rpm suits most sumps. The 2 rpm motor turns the disk slowly enough that a thin film of oil clings to it without stirring the coolant, which helps on foamy or lightly oiled sumps.
Original (LH) or Smart Disk Skimmer?
The LH is the plain disk skimmer: disk, wipers, motor. What the wipers scrape off goes straight to your waste container, coolant included. The Smart Disk Skimmer adds a built-in diverter: the oil floats to the top and runs out to the waste container, and the coolant drains back into the sump. The diverter is part of the Smart Disk frame and is not sold as an add-on for the LH, so pick the Smart Disk now if you want it.
What wears out?
Wipers and the disk are wear parts and are stocked. The skimmer itself carries our lifetime warranty.
